Salt Lake City, Utah
Salt Lake City, UT! (And surrounding areas...)
A city with tons to offer, especially if you're willing to drive outside the city itself. Far more than just the home of the Mormon church, our own Cole once called this place home! Believe it or not, it's also quite drive-able from Los Angeles and/or Las Vegas. Or, it's an easy Delta flight away (it's their hub!) or an easy flight and a long walk through the airport away for other airlines (you'll see what I mean when you fly in via Southwest...).

| The Rose Establishment | Google Maps | Excellent coffee, solid pastries and small bites. A fantastic place to camp out for a while and people watch, work remotely, or just take a few moments of solidude to yourself. There's tons of small shops and places to see nearby, so if you feel like exploring, grab your coffee to go and wander a bit. Though you really ought to take at least a bit of time here to really take the day in slow. |
| Caputo's Market & Deli | Google Maps | Finding a proper Italian Deli anywhere West of the Mississippi tends to be a challenge, but Caputos would be at home amongst the streets of Boston or NYC with the best of the spots those cities have to offer. Great sandwiches and take away bites, as well as tons of Italian ingredients and groceries. There's multiple locations around the city, this one is just easy to get to if you're already downtown. |
| Valter's Osteria | Google Maps | Sticking with the theme of Italy, Valter's is a great place for a nicer, sit down Italian feast. There's a small outdoor patio, an open kitchen inside, and the food is better than most Italian you can find West of the Mississippi. Make sure to save room for dessert! |
| Lone Star Taqueria | Google Maps | Casual tacos and burritos in a kitschy atmosphere with ample indoor and outdoor seating. A ways away from Downtown, and probably not worth the trip if you live somewhere with good Mexican food already, but a nice treat if you happen to find yourself in this area of SLC. |
| Table X | Google Maps | Upscale farm to table, and it checks that box beautifully. They often offer a pre-fixe that's a good deal, and there's ample alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail options. No outdoor seating, but a spacious inside. |

| Utah State Capital Building | Google Maps | The city of Salt Lake really shines from the perspective offered up here. Absolutely stunning in the fall, but beautiful most times, the view is especially breathtaking if you can catch it as the sun sets over the city. The capital building sits at the top of a single, long street that cuts through the entire city, giving an almost otherworldly perspective to the landscape tamed by human settlement. |

| Nosh | Google Maps | Better for lunch than for dinner, healthy but hearty options abound. |
| Harvest | Google Maps | One of the go-to spots for breakfast in Park City, it can get quite busy. Lots of outdoor seating with heaters to take in the morning, and their Australian-style coffee is quite good. |
| Chimayo | Google Maps | Southwest style food in the high mountains, this is a nice change of pace from the plethora of new-American style eating options in Park City. |
| Handle | Google Maps | A diverse menu of options for food, but the real standout is their bar seating and cocktail program. Even on busy days, show up and see if you can snag a seat at the bar and take in the cacophony. |
| Firewood | Google Maps | Another solid choice for dinner in downtown Park City. A bit less impressive than the other options, but always busy and a good choice if you can get a table. |

| Woodland Biscut Company | Google Maps | Quite the drive from Park City, but worth it for the biscuits. It also cuts down on the tourist crowd that you're fighting with for breakfast! Go early, and come back early. The slopes are calling! |
| Lola's Street Kitchen | Google Maps | Fast casual but tasty! Ample outdoor seating - order at the window and sit outside and enjoy the peace of the mountains. |
| Midway Mercantile | Google Maps | Surprisingly upscale for Midway, their food is a treat! Indoor and outdoor seating options. |
| Judy's Donuts and Coffee | Google Maps | Good donuts, good coffee. 'Nuff said. |
| Suss Cookie Company | Google Maps | If they are open and have cookies, they are delicious! It's just hard to find them open and not out of cookies... lol |
| The Lakehouse at Deer Creek | Google Maps | Out of the way but a beautiful view. Often if you can't find anywhere else to eat in Park City/Midway, this place has spots. |
| The Owl Bar | Google Maps | Part of the larger Sundance resort, this bar in the back has great cocktails and small bites. Live music many nights completes the atmosphere of a western style saloon. Don't sleep on the restaurant(s) at the resort either - great food if you can get a reservation! |
| Ritual Chocolate | Google Maps | A chocolate company and cafe kinda in the middle of no where. Their chocolates are delicious (Will - Some of the best I've had outside of Switzerland!) and quite creative, but their chocolate/hot coco tasting is really special. |

| Homestead Crater aka Midway Crater | Google Maps | A naturally occurring hot spring has created a crater you scan scuba dive or swim in! The water is 90+ degrees and it's a fun visit winter or summer. Be sure to book ahead, it gets booked up rather quickly. |
